JC has a long documented admiration of The Beach Boys, and I think the song relates back to his youth in Wales, listening to Radio Luxembourg and other stations and being desperate to get out of small-town Britain. I find the "Wales is not like California in any way" line to be incredibly moving and I think Mr. Wilson is one of JC's more autobiographical moments.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Keep up the good work!</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2367859846495854541/8806356939042281684/comments/default/5264402632989605800'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2367859846495854541/8806356939042281684/comments/default/5264402632989605800'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.fragmentsofcale.net/2007/05/mr-wilson.html?showComment=1179664740000#c5264402632989605800' title=''/><author><name>kaggsy</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/07348319724492250546</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.fragmentsofcale.net/2007/05/mr-wilson.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2367859846495854541.post-8806356939042281684' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/2367859846495854541/posts/default/8806356939042281684' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
