    thank you for finding my post and making this link. i'll do the same.

    FYI - those photos are from March 9, 1977 when Cale played a show at the Starwood club in West Hollywood. yes, his birthday. Another photographer has photos of him + band backstage wearing birthday hats.

    The Starwood is not there anymore. It closed in 1981.
